What can we do!
Speak Up!
The California Coastal Commission originally permitted the test slant well. They have not adopted a Best practices Science and Research position towards this project regarding the inclusion of the new AEM data.
They need to hear from you that this is is important and should not be disregarded in a project of this scale.

Support Public Water Now
Public Water Now is collecting signatures on the peninsula to put a measure on the November ballot. This measure would address buying the infrastructure from CalAm to become a publicly owned water service. This would motivate more intelligent, affordable, water projects for "regional" water solutions when shareholder profits are removed from the table. Encouraging peninsula voting friends and family to support public buyout would benefit the everyone in building sustainable and affordable water into the future.

Comment on the EIR in March
There will be a very short period for comment when the EIR for this project comes back for comments. In fact, there will be only 10 working days to review and comment on this project. Come to the public hearing and use the public comment period to voice concerns about the omission of science, the lack of water rights and the injustice of this project. Letters will be crucial too!
